This creates opportunities for solo reflection, journaling, group discussion, or even as subjects for a Sunday school class. At the root of this is the concept of not giving up even when you fail to understand why or are struggling in faith. Themes include brokenness, healing, faith, problems, growing pains, and distractions. Each letter, whether it's a poem or a reflection, feels like a small testimony that speaks directly to you while incorporating Bible verses and honesty. Quirky Letters: Faith, Healing, and Honest Words for the Journey by Faith Raine is a collection of original letters, poems, and thoughts compiled into a single volume. Fixing Brokenness uses the metaphor of shattered glass to examine how brokenness affects mental health, relationships, and daily functioning, asserting that true restoration involves God and can coexist with therapy or counseling. Before the Storm depicts the quiet anticipation before life’s difficulties, showing stillness as a time when God prepares and strengthens individuals, underlining vigilance, patience, and trust. Encouragement for the Journey presents life as a series of highs and lows, urging reliance on God through prayer and rest while noting the sustaining nature of His promises. Click uses rapid-fire imagery and onomatopoeia to critique societal judgment, systemic issues, and community fragmentation, encouraging readers to observe responsibly and take action.

Faith Raine’s Quirky Letters is a genuinely heartening collection of work, and there's a lot to be said about Raine opening herself up and putting her ideas out into the world. They are, as one would imagine, quite personal, but in the sense that she has taken pieces of herself and paired them with some of the more universal insights on faith. It is hard to select a favorite, but I thought that Grandma’s Chair stood out most for its gentle depiction of intergenerational love and persistent prayer, where Raine portrays a grandmother’s chair as a symbol of quiet spiritual influence and the enduring impact of faith and wisdom on family life. The second is Distracted by Distractions, which skillfully examines how everyday interruptions can pull our attention away from God, offering guidance on recognizing these diversions and restoring focus with intentionality. Overall, the compilation shows sincerity with a light touch, encouraging us to see God’s presence in both ordinary and meaningful moments.

There's always a point in life when you feel emotions so heavy that you just have to write them down, whether as letters, poems, or journal entries to yourself. In Quirky Letters, Faith Raine compiled the letters, poems, reflections, testimonies, and even prayers she has written down during her highs and lows in this wonderful book. When we feel broken and unloved, we should know that the Lord is always with us and will heal every heartbreak. To heal, we have to let go of the hurt; even when we would rather remain angry, we must set it free and give it to God because only He can handle it and heal the deepest wounds. When broken, you can feel like it's the end, like you'll never be complete. There will always be cracks, but those scars show you conquered, you survived, and that's proof of God's power.

Quirky Letters by Faith Raine is a Christian inspirational book that is a collection of letters, poems, reflections, and even prayers shared and elaborated to encourage and inspire us in different ways. It is a six-part book that portrays brokenness to healing, faith, personal growth, reflections, and love. It emphasizes that brokenness is not the end; rather, it is the beginning of God's work in restoring us. The writing is conversational as the author blends scriptures, poetry, and personal stories. It feels like a chat between you and the author through her writing. This book inspired me, and through her stories, it felt like she preached to me with the scriptures and prayed for me at the same time. If you're going through a phase in your life, either feeling broken or having lost faith, this book will help in your healing journey.
