Grace was bright, pretty, and successful.  She worked for a large company in
D.C.; she had done well for herself, but she has distanced herself from her
family and friends back home.   She hadn't been back home to Cape Cod in
eighteen months- not since her brother's wedding where she and her
brother's best friend Jake left the wedding together...  She had fallen for
Jake when she first met him as a teenager, but things had never moved past
friendship.  Things didn't go very well the night of the wedding, and Grace
was not looking forward to running into Jake at her grandparents'
anniversary party.

Rita writes for today's audience with characters that are real with normal
jobs and lives.  It is nice to see a female lead that is a career woman
who isn't relying on a man in the traditional sense.   Many readers will
relate to her book and delight in the romance surrounding the main
characters.
