Redemption of the Changed by Angelique S. Anderson is a Christian fantasy novel. The world was once paradise, but when one of the Creator’s Changed Ones - referred to as the Hunter - is consumed by darkness, the world is tainted. Evie may find the predictability of her life dull at times, but the love she has with her fiancé makes everything worth it. When her village is attacked and her fiancé is killed, along with her father and best friend, Evie finds her life changed. She becomes a wolf with no explanation for why this occurred. Decades later, the Hunter is still slaughtering his fellow Changed Ones. When she finds Castiel after he ran away from his village in the form of a wolf, she finds hope. She can see a future where she won’t be lonely, and where she can understand what she is. Castiel’s arrival brings more than answers, but hope for their world.
The story was delightful and I really enjoyed it! Redemption of the Changed is a great read for young adults, but also great for all ages. It is a fantasy, but the guidance it offers is real. It’s perfect for those seeking to learn. The struggle and the loss the characters experience are relatable. They can’t understand why their Creator would let so many bad things happen, and they question if he’s even listening. It’s something people can understand. With the state of our society, it’s common to question why bad things have to keep happening. Redemption offers a place of solace. Angelique S. Anderson writes with passion and conviction. Evie and Castiel have a high calling to save the world, but they’re constantly questioning the role they play. Redemption of the Changed is charming, hopeful, and brings forth a call for action.
