“Restore Your Marriage & Fall in Love Again: A Couple’s Guide to 12 Relationship Building Tools and Applications” by Krystal Kuehn, focuses on 12 steps to keep your marriage strong. After the honeymoon is over, the day-to-day living with your spouse may not be so rosey. But if two people are committed to each other, then rekindling and maintaining the spark can be achieved. Friendship, the cornerstone of any relationship, is often underestimated in a marriage. Validation, forgiveness, responsibility and affection are equally important. Chapter eight – “Offer Sympathy Not Solutions” suggests that you refrain from solving your spouse’s problems; just listen and be supportive. Read this book and experience a deeper level of dedication, better verbal and nonverbal communication and everlasting love in your marriage.
“Restore Your Marriage” is 78 pages of practical marital advice. The 12 chapters contain focused, results-oriented exercises; e.g., Say It and Believe It affirmations, Put It Into Practice applications and Think About It sections. Quotations are also very effective. Kuehn is a psychotherapist, teacher and songwriter. She is the co-founder of New Day Counseling and a contributor to several websites. She is a prolific author who has written over 10 books. Titles include “In Christ, I am,” “Giving Thanks” and “Anger Management.” This book is highly recommended for all couples regardless of their relationship status.
