Seventeen Parcels (The Moorhouse Trilogy) by Mic Lowther is a mystery story with a difference. Xander Moorhouse is a billionaire, and his three children are set to inherit his fortune when he dies. Eleven years before, he hires Austin Somerfeld, a delivery driver, to hide 17 parcels, each in a different US state. He doesn’t know what they contain and must follow a set of strict rules. Each parcel is numbered, and they must be found in the right order. Once the last parcel has been found, they can open them in order, but what will they find? Will they truly inherit what they think they will, or did Xander have something different in mind?

Seventeen Parcels by Mic Lowther is one of the most refreshing and unique tales I have ever had the pleasure of reading. It will captivate you from the first page and is packed with suspense. The detail is second to none, and you will feel like you are going on the ultimate road trip, first with the delivery driver as he hides the parcels and then with the siblings as they hunt them down. Each character is developed perfectly, all very different people but you witness their transformation as their journey unfolds. This is a steadily-paced story, compelling reading, and utterly engaging, holding your attention all the way through. With a fun but twisty plot, there are surprises around every corner, and the descriptive writing will allow you to experience every location and every emotion to its fullest. Highly recommended reading; this is one journey you won’t regret taking.
