In Shattered by Sharon M. Johnston, Mishca learns that she has no biological parents because she was never born. Wirth created Mishca through cloning as part of his plan to build an army and intended for her to be included in it. Mishca had a heart defect from her original health issues, but, after undergoing a heart transplant, her heart was perfectly fine. Wirth ordered the extermination of Mishca's remaining clone sisters due to their uncorrected heart defects. During the heart transplant, Mishca's super soldier programming was triggered, transforming her into a genetically enhanced soldier. Mishca refused to allow her clone sisters to be killed by one of their own. Mishca, along with her boyfriend and two friends, went on a road trip across Queensland to rescue her clone sisters.
Shattered by Sharon M. Johnston was a captivating and fascinating read. The story was fast-paced and filled with action. I was engaged from the very first page to the final one. With all the numerous twists and turns, I could never predict what would happen next. The suspense kept me on the edge of my seat, turning the pages as fast as possible. The characters felt genuine and relatable. Mishca appeared to be an ordinary person with certain abilities, but she was so much more. Thanks to the excellent writing style, it was easy to accompany Mishca and her friends on their rescue mission. This story was exceptionally well-crafted and kept me thoroughly engrossed. It surpassed my expectations significantly, and I will remember it for quite some time.
