Shine: Choosing Success When Failure Seems Inevitable by L. David Harris is a self-help book to motivate readers to choose success over failure. Harris describes his own experience in the opening chapter, "The Importance of Instilling Success Principles From an Early Age." One chapter walks you through how to become and remain motivated, as both can be equally challenging. In an interesting twist, Harris explains how to fail without actually being a failure, and how innovation is important and taking a chance is worth it. While most people define success as wealth, Harris explains that it isn't all about the money and you need to fall out of love with it. I have always heard that "A failure to plan is a plan to fail," and this book addresses the need to follow a good blueprint of your plans. At 172 pages, the information is thorough enough to guide the reader to success.

Shine: Choosing Success When Failure Seems Inevitable by L. David Harris is a good read for someone looking for motivation to pursue a plan and who wants to be successful. The advice in Shine: Choosing Success When Failure Seems Inevitable is simple to follow, makes good sense, and is easy to implement. Having been there and done that, L. David Harris lays out a good plan for readers to follow in order to give themselves the freedom to fail on their path to success.
