Are you one of the many Americans who suffers daily from a chronic health issue? Author Kimberly Rea is one of those people, which prompted her to write this book about how to cope with chronic illness. In her book Sick and Tired, Kimberly Rea offers encouragement and practical tips for the daily struggles associated with any chronic medical condition. And Ms. Rea can expertly write on this subject because she deals with this type of illness on a daily basis.
Kimberly Rea starts off with telling us about her journey with chronic illness. She then encourages us to talk about our condition, the grieving process of not being able to do things we want, learning how to deal with all aspects of our disability, the high cost of any activity we do, and how to move forward and continue to live with the illness that we have. Struggling with chronic illness myself, I was amazed as I read Ms. Rea’s book because what she talks about going through herself is exactly what I go through all of the time. It helps to know others are struggling with the same things, even though the illness may be different. I appreciate Kimberly being so honest in pouring her heart out to those who read her book, and I am so glad she does because she will help many people strive to live more productive lives. I think the thing that helped me most in this book was how to deal with other people’s reaction to our illness. Ms. Rea gives a lot of comforting tips about this.
As you can see, I am sold on this book, and if you have a disability or chronic illness of any kind, I want to encourage you to pick up a copy to read and find comfort for yourself. You will be glad you read Sick and Tired by Kimberly Rea.
