Kate Adams is about to land an extremely important contract for her party planning business, but has the misfortune of spilling a drink down the front of her prospective boss. That’s only the beginning of her issues, though, in Silenced Memories by Brittney Sahin. Kate has travelled to Charlotte to plan a gala for Michal Maddox to promote the work he does for returning veterans. This is where her mother is buried and the past seems to be getting mixed up with the present as people who knew her parents begin to take part in the gala and Kate’s life.
Stalked by the person who may have murdered her mother, Kate learns of her unusual past over her dad’s objections. Dave Adams never wanted Kate to know the truth and that’s why he never wanted her to travel to Charlotte. Things get more complicated as Kate and Michael can’t turn off the attraction between them. With the help of some old friends, an FBI agent, and a bodyguard, Michael tries to keep Kate safe. Will the past catch up to Kate and destroy her like it destroyed her mother or will Michael prove to be the most dangerous person in her life?
For true intrigue and amazing romance, Silenced Memories by Brittney Sahin can’t be beat. The characters are well developed and their interactions intense as the plot gets more and more involved. The writing is upbeat with deep emotion and conflicting feelings surfacing from time to time, and the non-stop action keeps you turning the pages to find out what happens next. This is a great read with just enough passion to warm your blood while the mystery unravels.
