Maynard does well in maintaining focus, and we can see the skill and resourcefulness of the characters, whether it is Nimon operating antigrav stasis or Descartes facing Steth aboard the Castorian vessel. I love the incorporation of artifacts and alliances, for better or for worse, like the Mitronian crystal and the relationships between Castorians, Geminians, and K’Tar forces. Singular Dualiity is an intelligently written, imaginative story that promises more to come. Luckily, there is no wait, and readers who enjoy this installment as much as I did can jump straight into book two, Duall Singularity, as it has already been released. Very highly recommended.
