So, You Wanna Puppy?! by Jack Hirt is a heartwarming tale about the journey of a dog's life. The puppy is adopted, and is super cuddly and happy. The owner spends lots of time with the dog, and both are super happy. It is a great feeling having a puppy. But then the owner has to train the young puppy. The puppy and the owner are best friends, and they do everything together. But time passes, and the puppy grows older. The puppy is no longer a puppy, and the dog isn't as important in the owner's life as it used to be. The dog grows older and older, until the unthinkable happens. The dog that has been a constant in the owner's life dies. Will the owner ever be able to move on?
I really, really enjoyed reading So, You Wanna Puppy?! by Jack Hirt. The book is very well written and descriptive. I liked that the story is written in second person point of view, because it makes the reader understand the book more, and makes it look as if the reader is being asked if they want a dog. The book is so amazing that I cried while reading it. Many people will be able to relate to this book, because many people want a dog, or have a dog. The pictures by Samantha Williams are absolutely adorable, and are very well drawn. The pictures clearly depict each scene, and are very realistic and colorful. Children will enjoy reading this book, and will want to read it again and again. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone, especially dog lovers.
