Summer at Cedar Point by Russell W. Ramsey and Angel Giacomo is a nostalgic coming-of-age story set in the 1930s along the shores of Lake Erie, in the now-iconic region of Cedar Point. At the heart of the story are three brothers—Roy, Bill, and Bob Liddell—who spend their summer immersed in the beauty and wonder of lakeside life. With the bustle of the G.A. Boeckling ferry, the thrill of Cedar Point's early amusement park days, and the gentle rhythm of a simpler era, the boys explore both the landscape around them and the deeper values that shape their lives. Their admiration for their real-life hero, Olympic runner and missionary Eric Liddell, adds a moral and spiritual layer to their adventures. What begins as one magical summer evolves into a generational journey of heritage, war, and legacy.

Russell W. Ramsey and Angel Giacomo weave a story that is both tender and inspiring. The plot is grounded in historical detail and family warmth, making it ideal for readers who enjoy slow, character-driven stories. The pace matches the tone of the 1930s lakeside summer—unhurried but full of meaning. The action is subtle, rooted more in personal growth and moral reflection than dramatic events. The characters, especially the Liddell brothers, are vivid and relatable, each contributing to the central themes of love, commitment, and legacy. The writing has a timeless tone, making Summer at Cedar Point a thoughtful and rewarding read for those drawn to family sagas and historical fiction. The setting feels alive, the emotions run deep, and the message lingers beautifully after the final page.
