Sweetest Mistake: A Nolan Brothers Series Novel, Book 2 by Amy Olle is a fun and quirky story of two very opposite people who fall in love. Emily Cole is here to run her bed-and-breakfast, and make sure that everyone loves it. She wants her B and B to win hearts and become part of the community, but she wants to stay a long way from said community. Her start is not that good, especially when she meets the handsome, but aggravating cop, Luke Nolan, at the airport when he picks up something rather intimate from her spilled baggage. Regardless to say, things go downhill from there. Despite both being very good looking, neither is the other’s type.
But when they meet at Luke’s brother’s wedding, things get very, very steamy. That actually makes Luke wonder if they could have something special. But the problem is that Luke does not want something special and certainly not with Emily. She is not his type and she will never be. He should not be getting involved with her, especially after what happened in his past. But what can a man do when his heart wants what it wants?
This was beautiful and very, very charming. I had a constant smile on my face while I was reading this novel, and I did not want the story to end. Luke and Emily make such an amazing couple. They are opposites, but still quite similar. The airport scene was hilarious. I loved their flirting and banter, and I loved the way Amy portrayed their transition from annoyance to flirtation to hook up to love. This was so beautiful. I loved it! It was wonderfully amazing and sigh inducing.
