Willow Tarata was looking for the man who killed her mother. She followed him for years and but was always been one step behind. When she heard he was in San Francisco, she followed him there. She found her informant and one of her employees murdered. Someone set her up. Inspector Rick Ramirez was in command of the investigation into the murders. There were several murders and Willow always seems to be around. Rick's grandmother tells him that Willow is good and to trust and help her.
This book was a page turner. I like a book that grabs my attention and holds it to the last page. The main characters played well together. There were several minor characters that were very memorable, including the other Guardians and Rick's grandmother. This book was an easy read. The plot flowed smoothly. There were elements of the supernatural that might are not everyday occurrences. Can these things happen, who’s to say, but they make for a good read. All in all, I would highly recommend this book. I liked it so much that I found the first two books in this series, so I can read the whole series.
