Changes are an important fact in our lives; many times they are not only inevitable but also take us out of our comfort zone. Big changes can be scary, especially for children. So how do you teach them to think positively about it? Author Nija Morenike' Matory gives us the perfect tool. The Adventures of Mel & An is the story of a family moving out of town. Meldrick is Anaya's older brother, and together, through the adventures that they find near their new home, they learn how big changes can be very positive and how they help to gain new experiences. This is an illustrated book with a very beautiful life lesson for children in which they can discover that with the right perspective, everything can become an exciting adventure.
The Adventures of Mel & An is a very enjoyable, fun, and enthusiastic book. I like how the book teaches family values with pictures, with kind and caring interactions. I am happy to recommend this book because Nija Morenike' Matoryknows how to pay attention to different positive messages for children by setting an impeccable example for them to follow. Each page is enjoyable with new content, with walks, excursions, and facing what it is to arrive at a new school. The illustrations are full of color, with the artist knowing how to combine the tones very well. I am sure that children will love reading this story. It is perfect for a good time to share with the family.
