In the gentle contemporary romance novel, The Archer: Spring Blossoms by Dr. Stan J. Guesing, there is grief, pain, and loss but there is also hope, joy, and relationships rooted in love. Cindy is a single mother worried about her son. Though intelligent, Daniel lacks direction and motivation. Worse still, he is interested in archery and hunting, sports that Cindy does not approve of. When Cindy meets Daniel’s new friend who has promised to train him in archery, she is moved by Stan’s story. As she gets to know him, she begins to feel a sense of safety that she never knew before. She is also drawn to his kindness and strength. Still, both Stan and Cindy are plagued by pain from their pasts. With time, they help each other heal and move forward.
The Archer is a dazzling novel with an authentic love story. I loved seeing the main characters grow through their experiences and the bonds they shared. I also loved the depth with which the story explores their backgrounds while addressing important topics such as sexual assault, trauma, and grief. Through Stan's, Daniel's, and Cindy’s stories, the book instills hope that it is possible to move forward and find love and peace. The story also contains captivating details about archery that help build the story and that archery enthusiasts will love. There are also humorous conversations included in the story. The Archer: Spring Blossoms by Dr. Stan J. Guesing is a delightful romance novel that adeptly explores crucial topics.
