Author Biography

I live in the Bitterroot Valley in Montana with my awesome family. I started out writing the Books of Azric thinking I knew where it was going but my characters showed me how wrong I was. They tell the story they want and I'm just along for the ride.

The Books of Azric: Truth by Brandon Griffin is volume 2 in the series. This is the first book that I have read in the series and I must say I enjoyed it immensely. I enjoyed it enough that I want to go back and read book one, then immediately find book three. I really want to throw myself into The Books of Azric again, but they are large and complicated, and I just don’t have time right now. But it is so tempting to think about doing it as soon as possible. Every writer has a unique voice, but let’s be honest, a lot of writers sound almost the same as everyone else writing in their genre. Not Brandon Griffin.

The Books of Azric: Truth is epic fantasy. It is peopled by elves, humans, orcs, mercenaries, and many of the other species and characters you would expect, but this world feels different from any I have encountered before. It is a world of several different “realms,” each with its own unique feel and characteristics. It is a world of magic and political intrigue. It is a world of colorful individuals and very serious individuals. It is a world where death can come suddenly from any direction. It is a world full of powerful secrets. I liked the plot. I loved the characters. I loved sinking myself into this world. I want to sink into it once again as soon as possible. This is what a good book is all about.
