The Case of Timmy’s Lost Puppy is a children’s animal story by Anna Maria Prezio. Timmy was thrilled when his parents gave him a puppy for his birthday. He called his new pet Buddy and helped make him comfortable in his new home. Timmy loved Buddy and fed him before leaving for school and after he returned home. When they went to play outside, Buddy saw a squirrel and chased it under a fence. Timmy tried to catch Buddy, but the puppy disappeared. Timmy searched everywhere, including the bushes and under cars, but could not find Buddy. He was frightened and sad at the thought of losing his pet so he asked his friends to meet him at the park to help search for Buddy. He hoped that his new pet could be found.
How would you react if you were given a pet that you wanted? I’m sure you would be as excited as Timmy, or as sad as he felt when Buddy was lost. The Case of Timmy’s Lost Puppy is a lovely animal story. Anna Maria Prezio writes so well that children can relate to its meaningful content. Timmy showed how responsible he could be in caring for a pet by following his mother’s advice when he received his precious gift. The illustrations are some of the most impressive ones that I have seen and they capture the characters' expressions so well. The Case of Timmy’s Lost Puppy is the second Timmy’s Adventures series book. Children will enjoy reading it.
