In The Curse of Moonseed Manor by D Lieber, Wren's life was turned upside down when her father died. But all is not as it seems. There are rumors about the owners of the manor and the current owner, William Bennings. Drawn to the dark, mysterious owner and the charming and flirtatious caretaker, Wren soon finds herself caught up in a huge mix. When the truth comes to light, will she find herself aligned with the right person, and will the ghosts of a century-old mine disaster be put to rest?
The Curse of Moonseed Manor by D Lieber is a delightful modern-day Gothic novel written in beautiful language, evoking feelings of looming disaster. The story is set against the spectacular background of a striking manor on an isolated island with a tormented owner. It is a gripping read for any lover of the genre. It has all the classic elements needed to evoke feelings of mystery and suspense. It also creates a gloomy atmosphere and highlights the fear of the unknown. Like all good Gothic novels, the central theme is the curse surrounding the manor and its owners. As rumors are whispered, it isn't easy to extricate what is truth and what is made up. There are evil spirits, humans with a hidden agenda, and a hapless heroine who feels drawn to the dark and mysterious owner of the manor and becomes entangled in an emotionally draining quest to save the ill-fated object of her love. The Curse of Moonseed Manor is an engaging story.
