The Dahlonega Sisters: The Gold Miner Ring by Diane M How is a fascinating mystery story. Mutzi McGilvray did something she shouldn’t have done when she was a teenager; she stole a ring her father bought for her sister. Now everything is going wrong and Mutzi has convinced herself that the ring is cursed. Marge, her twin sister, is perfect at whatever she does and, by accident, she takes possession of the ring. When a series of accidents happen, Mutzi has to confess what she has done. Then the intended recipient of the ring appears, Rose Ellen, the third sister, and the investigation into the origin of the ring begins. Along the way, more doubt and more conflict arise and none of them could have guessed where their quest for the truth would lead them.

The Dahlonega Sisters: The Gold Miner Ring by Diane M How is a wonderful, light-hearted tale of family bonds with a great mystery thrown in for good measure. It teaches us that the past always has an effect on the future but it's what we do with the past that counts. There is quite a lot going on here; not only are we unraveling the mystery of where the ring came from, but we are also getting to know these wonderful characters, both as they are now and things that happened in their pasts. There is a good mix of mystery, romance, and some comedy thrown in for good measure and a few tears along the way. You can't help but like these women and you are going to want to get to know them better. Each has their own unique personality and the conclusion wraps it all up in one neat package, although I believe there is a follow-on story. I'm looking forward to reading it. This story will keep you happily immersed in the sisters’ world for a few hours.
