The Day My Fart Followed Me To Baseball (My Little Fart) is written by Ben Jackson and Sam Lawrence and illustrated by Danko Herrera. Little Timmy has a friend named Fart who makes a stink wherever he goes. Timmy wants Fart to stay away from the field while he’s playing baseball with his team, especially since the girl he’s crushing on will be there. Little Fart feels a bit left out by Timmy’s rejections and goes off to find something else to do while his best friend plays sport. Will little Fart find something entertaining to do while he waits for Timmy? Will Fart find someone else to play with since Timmy is the only person who can see him? How will the baseball game go? Does Timmy’s crush like him too?
The Day My Fart Followed Me To Baseball by Ben Jackson and Sam Lawrence is an exceptionally entertaining story about a boy named Timmy and his best friend that no one else can see named Fart. I love that the authors incorporated some very important lessons about friendship and bullying into this children’s story. The illustrations by Danko Herrera tell the story in vivid colors, drawing the reader into the fun of having a little green friend named Fart that really smells like one. I love that Timmy’s little green friend was able to find a great use for his smell while he was waiting for the baseball game to end! I recommend The Day My Fart Followed Me To Baseball to anyone with children who like a funny story with lots of real-life situations that kids face every day.
