The Flower Box by Elodie Parkes is the love story of Alice and Oliver. Alice, like any other woman, wants to be loved and is looking to have that special person in her life. Alice sold flowers and candies but she is someone who gets nothing for herself. Alice would love to have that special person who would send her flowers. Oliver loves her and he wants to do things to make Alice happy. But he is suspicious that she has another lover. Will his jealousy and suspicion keep him away from loving Alice? The story is like any other love story that takes it course once the main characters are introduced to readers.
This sweet romantic story is an enjoyable read with some wonderful emotions and sensuality that add spice to the plot. Both Alice and Oliver are lovable characters. The simplicity in the theme and in the portrayal of the main characters lend a charm to the story. Added to it, the good pace in narration makes it an interesting love story. There is a gentleness and softness while handling the love between Alice and Oliver, which makes it endearing. The passion between the two has been expressed effectively. It is a love story that will evoke a lot of warm feelings inside you.
The characters and the course of their romance are realistic and is something that the readers can relate to. The author's simple and elegant writing style is the strong point of this love story.
