The Hindu Path of Devotion: Simple Effective Steps to God by Neha Shivdeep is a brief guide to the practice of Hinduism and how we can connect to God by following some simple steps and changing our lives for the better. The book lays out each stage: for example, purifying our bodies and minds in order to feel closer to God. We live in a world of delusion and it is important not to get bogged down by material things as in the end we don't get to take this stuff with us. Understanding this can help free us of that attachment. The book goes on to encourage us to be thankful and praise God more often for the things we have in life. We must nurture this devotion and let it grow in our lives.
Neha Shivdeep introduces us to the the world of Hinduism in The Hindu Path of Devotion: Simple Effective Steps to God. This I would consider a 'beginners guide,' as it were, to the practice and if it is something that speaks to you then you can go on to learn more about it. Before embarking on any spiritual journey, it is important to ask yourself questions as to why you want to do it and if it is something you can see through to the outcome. I feel this book will benefit anyone interested in these teachings, who wants to become more spiritual in themselves. It is a simple but effective guide.
