The House of Infinite Doors by Dwayne Adams is a gripping conspiracy thriller that offers readers a great combination of supernatural suspense and historical fiction. Set in 1963, the story follows Douglas Phoenix, a seasoned dream analyst, who becomes embroiled in a chilling investigation that predicts the assassination of John F. Kennedy. As Douglas uncovers secrets buried for centuries, he realizes he is part of a larger, darker conspiracy that threatens reality itself. His fate becomes intertwined with raising 'the childe,' an infant destined to save mankind from an ancient evil called The Eternal Nightmare. With time travel, alternate realities, and mind-bending twists, Adams delivers a suspenseful and unpredictable narrative.

Author Dwayne Adams does a fantastic job of offering a realistic historical context for the strange events. The seamless blend of supernatural conspiracy is well-placed in a truly gripping and imaginative thriller. I was taken with the use of dream analysis as a narrative device as I've never seen that used so well for storytelling before. This adds a unique psychological layer to the plot to get readers invested in it and keep them intrigued. This complexity also follows through into the plotting for the time travel and alternate reality parts of the story. These are well-placed to set up some fascinating plot twists that are unexpected but fit together eventually in such clever ways. Douglas is a character you grow attached to as the narration shows more and more of his emotional struggles, and his relationship with 'the childe' is the heart at the core of this high-concept narrative. Overall, The House of Infinite Doors is a highly recommended read for fans of accomplished supernatural fiction.
