It portrays 6 teenagers: Emma, Natalie, Kristen, Sarah, Chloe, and Dakota. They each have different colors given to them by the Gems that seem to live in their bodies, giving them special powers. They get a strange mentor called Mac who lives with them, and he guides and helps them with the special powers they have received from their Gems. They start to learn how to help people and the true reason for their powers.

The main characters take the reader on a journey of discovery not only of what the Gem Keepers would like to do or be but also what the real world is like and how they get help along the way to defeat the evil that wants to destroy the world as they know it. The twists and turns of the story hold the reader’s attention to the very end. The conclusion is not what the reader is expecting at all but will make them think twice. The reader begins to realize that the world will remain divided and fighting each other until they can find peace within themselves and then bring peace to those around them. The Imposed Path by Timothy David is a beautifully narrated and written book. Both the author and the narrator are well-matched. They both bring the story to life in their unique way. A wonderful, interesting book to listen to and possibly read.

Tiffany holds the reader’s attention from the very first paragraph when she starts reading to the very last sentence. She brings the story to life in her own unique way, making the reader smile and even cry with the characters as the story unfolds. Tiffany knows how to use her voice to bring a smile or a tear without overdoing it. I say well done, Tiffany, keep it up. Between the author and the narrator, this is a book well worth more than one listen and well worth keeping in a personal Audible library. Thank you for a delightful story to listen to and read.
