The Last Butterscotch by Dan Absalonson is an exciting story that follows a young boy named Henry Jr. Henry Jr.'s mother breeds kittens. She told Henry Jr. that he could have any cat that doesn't sell. One day, Henry Jr. comes running in from the barn, saying that a new cat has appeared. There were only four, and then suddenly a fifth appeared out of the blue. All of the kittens are named Butterscotch. Only, the fifth kitten doesn't behave normally. When he was just born, he could open his eyes, and his purr doesn't sound normal, and there are weird things that happen around him. Henry Jr. adopts him. Why does that cat act strangely?
