The New Face of Entrepreneurship: An Entrepreneurs Guide to Joy, Passion and Profits in Business by Michael Taylor begins with a powerful statement, one that immediately got me curious and interested: “Contrary to negative mainstream media, I believe there has never been a better time to be alive on the planet than right now. The future is filled with infinite possibilities for anyone who is willing to put forth the effort and create the life of their dreams.” In his book, the author redefines what it means to be an entrepreneur and offers the ingredients required to build a business and make it succeed. That sounds so easy, but there is a lot of work to be done. While sharing insights with readers and scientifically tested arguments and secrets to success, the author cautions that the startup entrepreneur has a lot of work to do, many challenges to face, and a discipline to pursue. And what makes it most interesting is that he offers pointers on how to go about this.

Michael Taylor’s book is written for those who feel that they are being held back from pursuing their dream because of negative literature and a culture that tend to be more pessimistic than supportive. In this book, he presents a road map to success and offers a step-by-step guide on building a business. The New Face Of Entrepreneurship is an innovative new work in the world of business non-fiction, penned by Michael Taylor, which promises to deliver ‘An Entrepreneurs Guide To Joy, Passion and Profits In Business’. Against the grain of some old-fashioned thinkers who instill a sense of failure into the minds of wannabe entrepreneurs, Taylor advocates that the world of new start-ups is one where success is very possible and business is alive and well. With hard work, time spent well and the strategies which Taylor promises to unveil, the book’s concept offers hope to new business owners that they can make a positive change in the exciting future world of business whilst also achieving their own dreams.

It’s true that the internet age now produces entrepreneurs of all shapes and sizes, and it’s that worldwide connection that author Michael Taylor puts his message of hope upon. He is honest in his affirmation that any business requires a huge amount of work to get off the ground, but the facts which he presents about the changing shape of business futures, and the reasons why naysayers are turning away from start-ups, gives a balanced but compelling view of the potential market. His advice, too, was well structured within the book and not overladen with business jargon, making it easy to follow for business newcomers. I think the mindset and practical steps offered make good sense, and overall I’d recommend The New Face Of Entrepreneurship as a great starting point for any new business owner.

The New Face Of Entrepreneurship: An Entrepreneurs Guide To Joy, Passion and Profits In Business by Michael Taylor is a non-fiction business book that guides readers on how to become a successful entrepreneur. In The New Face Of Entrepreneurship, Michael draws heavily from his personal experience and talks about his own personal journey towards entrepreneurship and the ups and downs associated with it in his life. The book is divided into several broad chapters including what is an entrepreneur and the definition of the word, the drive and the mindset that is required in order to be a successful business person, a holistic approach which includes what is referred to as compassionate capitalism, the power and the essence that makes a company worthwhile and to thrive, money and how to manage it, weighing the risks and benefits, coaching and if and when it is necessary, and more. Each of these chapters includes some sub-topics that are covered in detail as well, sometimes in the form of questions and answers.

The New Face Of Entrepreneurship: An Entrepreneurs Guide To Joy, Passion and Profits In Business is a very well written book and contains a lot of useful information. Michael has decades of experience in running various types of businesses from a young age and has provided a guide on to how to avoid the most common pitfalls. What I really liked about this book was that the author has not made it just about money or profit; instead, he uses an overall integrated approach that delves into spirituality and philosophy to make his point. The writing style is fluid and engaging and I am sure this book will help anyone wanting to start their own business at some stage in life.
