The Next Version of You: 12 Stories That Highlight the Use of Intuition to Update Your Life by John Bickart is a powerful book that uses the art of storytelling to teach readers the power of intuition, showing them how they can tap into this secret weapon to find the tools they need to engineer change in personal life and steer their lives toward the direction they want it to take. Written by a professional teacher, this book features stories the author has used in class and in real life situations to inspire others and to incite them to dig deeper to unearth their hidden power to handle change in personal life.

The reader is introduced to twelve well crafted, somewhat thought provoking and inspiring stories about intuition. They are true stories linking the author’s teaching experiences, but they carry powerful and universal messages that can be applied by anyone who genuinely wants to experience real change, become a better person, and allow their experience to speak to their very core. The author has shared these stories with students, teachers, and incarcerated persons in two state prisons in North Carolina.

These stories will also bring to light dramatic and life changing moments for some of the characters. They are well written and permeated with light, a message of encouragement, and the empowerment readers need to transform their lives. In The Next Version of You, John Bickart speaks about intuition as a faculty that can be honed and a great tool to craft a better life. The writing is simple, but the narrative voice is compelling and confident. It’s the work of a master, filled with gems and nuggets of wisdom. This is one of those rare books I will read again. Besides The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari, this book is the next best thing I have read in personal development and change. A gift to receive with gratitude and to pass on!
