Rainy days meet big imaginations. Written by Felix M. Finley, The Perfect Fort follows a little girl named Sam, her ever-eager AI assistant Pip, and their quest to build the ultimate living room fort in one rainy day. Sam wants to build a giant castle but isn't sure where to begin. She taps Pip for help. Then Pip scans the living room for raw materials and gives Sam the step-by-step instructions for her building project. Kids will love the careful measuring and stacking of pillows and cushions until it's finally done. It looks great and comfortable, but Sam notices something is missing. Something that Pip couldn’t help her with. With her knight bear and dragon toy, Sam makes her very own version of the perfect fort.

Felix M. Finley reimagines parenting in the age of AI. As a technology practitioner, the author helps parents and children understand how to integrate technology into their children's day-to-day lives. He chooses calm yet clever writing to show that Sam and Pip can become a powerful duo. Pip supports Sam. When Sam says she wants to build a giant castle, Pip does what Pip is expected to do. But the book's lesson is just beginning. In this story, Finley shows the reader how today’s kids can use AI. Not to alter their ability to think, but to go beyond—the thing that separates humans from AI. The Perfect Fort is a reassuring tale for parents that their children will grow up imaginative, curious, and kind, even with technology.
