Author Biography

Rev. Allen Smith was born in the little town of Neoga, IL in 1951. He was saved at the early age of 12 years, and started preaching when he was just 15. He has been preaching and teaching now for 46 years. He has been a pastor for over 30 years of that time. Rev. Smith has been a featured speaker at camp-meetings and conventions down through the years. In addition, he spent 3 years as president of International Bible College and Seminary in DeSoto, Missouri, where he authored 9 different syllabi for the Seminary.

Rev. Smith presently holds a Master's Degree in Religious Education, a Doctor of Divinity Degree, and a Doctor of Theology Degree and has published several articles, in nationwide religious publications.

From October of 1993 until July of 2010, Rev. Smith published a nation-wide Southern Gospel news magazine called SGN Scoops Digital. He is currently the founder and President of Lighthouse International Ministries which is a missionary outreach ministry.

The Sacrifice - The Only Way To God by Rev. Allen Smith speaks about God, religion, sinning, on how man has slowly separated himself from God, and God's ways of bringing man closer to him. It speaks about the sacrifice made by Jesus Christ and his Resurrection.

The theme is intensely spiritual. It talks extensively about God and the sacrifices He made. It covers the time from Adam and Eve to the nailing of Jesus Christ on the cross and his Resurrection after a few days. The book speaks about how Jesus Christ reacted to sins and how man reacts to the sins done by him and others.

Reading a book like The Sacrifice - The Only Way To God is very uplifting. It brings you closer to God and reveals many things that you do not know about Him. It is a sort of educational journey too. It refreshes your memory on the wisdom and sayings in the Bible. The author has quoted many important lines from the Bible. In times when spirituality and religion find no takers because they are busy indulging in other activities, this book is like a breath of fresh air. It not only takes you closer to God; it makes you wiser too.

This book is a must-read because of the messages it gives the reader. It is also a book for readers who do not want to read the Bible because many important quotes and sayings from the Bible are quoted and explained in the book.
