The Seed of Life is the third installment in the young adult space-opera epic fantasy series written by Ava Reiss. Queen Vasper of Ima continues the ruthless expansion of her regime, setting her sights on the planet of Jema, which houses the school of sorcery. Meanwhile, on the outer ridges of the system in Teroma, twenty-three-year-old Kameclara is recruited by the Intergalactic Military on a top-secret mission to the inner planets, the existence of which was previously kept hidden from the general population. As Kameclara embarks on her journey, she comes across a dangerous inmate named Stanten, for whom she has an irresistible mutual attraction. Unbeknownst to them, Kameclara and Stanten may be the only ones to stop the unrestrained tyranny of Queen Vasper, as their reincarnated spirits traverse multiple generations through time and dimensions.

If you're an avid fan of epic space-opera works such as Star Wars and Star Trek, The Seed of Life is the book for you. Author Ava Reiss spins an epic odyssey through the cosmos filled with romance, magic, adventure, and action that will appeal to fantasy lovers and sci-fi fans alike. I was blown away by the lore and the depth of worldbuilding that the author provided, with keen attention to minute details. The plot is intricately woven, with multiple characters sharing POVs in a non-linear narrative. I enjoyed the romance between Kameclara and Stanten, but my favorite aspect of the book was the playful banter and chemistry between the members of the Alpha-Je Team. I would recommend this book to fans of epic fantasy and sci-fi.
