Author Biography

Amanda Dew spent much of her professional life drafting statistical models, but now drafts can’t-put-down novels. THE STORY SEER, THE TRUTH SEER, and THE END SEER comprise Amanda’s debut series, an action-packed thrill ride based on the real-life romantic rollercoaster she rides with her husband, Daniel.

When Amanda isn’t crunching numbers, taming her and Daniel’s four tiny humans, or writing her next dystopian heart-stopper, she enjoys traveling, reading, eating, exercising, eating while traveling, eating while reading, exercising because of the eating, and well… you get the picture.

The Story Seer by Amanda Dew is an intriguing young adult dystopian romance featuring Aurora Reynolds, a gifted lobe tech skilled at locating well-hidden secrets through mind exploration. She discovers that what she knows about her employer, The Dream, might not be accurate. For years she was led to believe that The Seers were an external terrorist organization hell-bent on destroying America and has developed a resolute hatred for them. When a new subject suspected of working for The Seers is brought to her for mind exploration, she is determined to uncover all his secrets, but what she discovers is more than she bargained for and in utter conflict with all she thought she knew. Added to this disturbing discovery are her boyfriend’s apathy and the sudden interest of her boss and long-time crush in her.

The Story Seer by Amanda Dew is attention-grabbing from the first chapter and maintains this hold till the end. I couldn’t believe I had reached the conclusion and I am eager to read the next installment of this series, as book one ended with a riveting cliffhanger that left me with many questions. Aurora's character makes it easy to connect with the story by being extremely relatable. It was nice to observe her self-discovery and growth as she gathered more information about herself and the crucial role she plays in The Dream. The narration also builds a desire to uncover the many secrets in the book and discover who the real villains are. I recommend this book to fans of The Hunger Games and Divergent - or anyone who loves a good dystopian book.
