The Strange Marriage of Anne de Bourgh and Other Pride and Prejudice Stories by Skylar Hamilton Burris is a novelette styled like the classic Pride and Prejudice. Mr. Johnson is the new parson and Mr. Collin's successor. The Darcys are ill at ease in his presence though Mr. Johnson tries to make them comfortable. Lady Catherine is fascinated by Mr. Johnson.

The book will remind you of the classics. Though short, the story line is etched well and all the characters are perfectly described and remind one of the characters in Pride and Prejudice. By the time you finish reading, you will really wish the book was longer. The novella takes away the depth of the story due to the brevity. The twist at the end makes the read exciting. The story is romantic, and peppered with humor that makes it enjoyable. The characters of Lady Catherine and Anne de Bourgh are slightly different.

A Battle of Wits is a bantering correspondence between Darcy and Elizabeth where the reader can see them challenging each other with each one refusing to accept defeat. There is a beautiful sonnet in that 18-page correspondence. This short story is funny as well as endearing.

Mr. Darcy's Homecoming speaks about Darcy's eagerness to be in the arms of his bride. There is a kind of anticipation and urgency in the way the author has narrated the scenes. On the whole, it is an interesting fan fiction. The author's wit is noteworthy in all three stories.
