I love epic fantasy that is well written. For me, I need realistic characters in fantastic places and situations. Cethland Morellis is such a character and Allanoria is such a place. I suspected I would like The Tears of San'Ferath as soon as I realized that dragons would be an integral part of the story. I knew I would like it after reading a few pages featuring the main character, Cethland. He’s my kind of guy. A mercenary in a land where that means a bit more than just selling your sword. A reader in a land where very few are interested in books or get the opportunity to learn to read. The Tears of San'Ferath by D. Thomas Jerlo has all the makings of a great fantasy story. There is, of course, the classic clash between good and evil, but there are enough twists and surprises to keep you reading.

The Tears of San'Ferath kept me reading late into the night simply because I just had to know how this story was going to turn out. D. Thomas Jerlo has created a world with the potential to become a fantasy classic. I like the premise that the world moves in and out of magical phases. I like the potential for both good and evil to gain the upper hand during a shift in phase. This is a formula for epic conflict and D. Thomas Jerlo utilizes the full potential of this. Great characters, a great plot and setting, and just as important, a very believable world.

Ray, thank you so much for the wonderful review. I'm so glad you enjoyed the book. The characters were such fun to write about. I too have a thing for dragons. I've always wished I was one. Hence...the book. *chuckles* Again, thank you from the top and bottom of my heart
