The Werewolf of Davenport is the second book in The Midnight Glass series by D. T. Vaughn. The story of Wyatt Dumont and his family continues as they settle into the strange town of Davenport. After the events of the last book, Wyatt, Roxanne, and their mother Mara were finally relieved but then strange things started to happen once again. Just like the Dumonts, a new family was seen at the gates of the town, hoping for safety within. However, no one knew what the presence of this new family would mean for the other people of Davenport. Lock, a dangerous werewolf, had made his presence known in the town and he was terrorizing people. Anyone who came in his way paid the price. No one was safe in the town, especially Wyatt, the Gatekeeper of Davenport.

Set two years after the first novel in the series, The Werewolf of Davenport is intense and packed full of action. Wyatt was a riot. His sense of humor was incredible, and it translated well into the plot. Wyatt is full of life, and his intelligence played a vital role in moving the story forward and the decisions he made were important. Such character-driven plots are always a hit with readers, and this book will be a hit. Lock was harsh, despicable, and a villain that readers will love to hate. The narrative was paced just right to make the story interesting without rushing young minds. If I had gotten my hands on this book when I was 13, I would have consumed it in a few hours. The author did a fantastic job of portraying emotions. D. T. Vaughn made sure readers knew when Wyatt was feeling lonely, vulnerable, and courageous enough to face danger head-on. Loved it!
