"The Wildes of Murrell’s Inlet" by Gloria Spivey Flecker is a sequel to "North of Channing Street". Ten years after the marriage of Molly and Jeff, they are finally tired of the New York and Jersey scene. The hectic lifestyle is just getting too much for this now elderly couple and they decide to move south. Now a well known author, Molly left the stage years ago to write and now she has one more book she wants to finish. Taking a trip to South Carolina, Molly finds her perfect dream home although it is in desperate need of repair and a mystery to solve. The former owner has died and then there was the mysterious death of her gardener who had been killed in a fire earlier. Was it an accident or murder? Now Molly feels that the spirit of the former owner is leading her to find the truth.

This is a very short book that can be read in one sitting; however, I am a little disappointed in the end, unless the author has plans for a third book in the series explaining what happened. We do find all the same characters in this book plus a few new ones. As with the other book we find the same emotions that the author portrayed, love, happiness, sadness and some humor. Although the book can be read as a standalone it would be best to read the first book to fully understand what is taking place. As with the first one I feel this book would be enjoyed by any one aged 18 and up.
