It invites curiosity and is wholly interactive, a book the whole family or school class can read together, and all join in.
There Was a Tenacious Teacher Who Scarfed Down a Sticker by Patty York Raymond is a hilarious rhyming book written in the style of There Was an Old Lady, and kids are going to love it. It’s filled with rich language and some fantastic illustrations by Ayan Saha that jump off the pages and help kids follow the story. It is a silly story, but sometimes, those are the best. Learning is always much better when it’s fun, and kids can giggle their way through it. The book also teaches repeatable patterns, helping children learn new vocabulary, and offers an early look at synonyms, in this case, for the word “swallowed,” and there’s a handy chart at the end showing all the different ways to say it. This is an amazing book for kids, and it’s guaranteed to bring a smile to any face, readers and listeners alike.
