This World Shaken by J.L. Stone is a well-written book that offers readers, especially Christians, an account of what the end times could look like. The story begins with Mr. Soloman’s family preparing to go to church with Jill, Lexie’s friend who lives next door. At the church, Pastor Stephen Crosby briefs the congregation on news of the New World Order, which bans all other church affiliations; everyone must attend the One World Church and use the Unibible as the only religious book. However, as Jill’s passion for Christ grows, her father, a sergeant at the Global Secret Police, is drawn to her newfound faith, even though he is part of the force mandated to enforce this order. The rise of the antichrist threatens the church, yet the faith of Mr. Soloman's family and other believers keeps growing as they await Christ's second coming.

I lack words to express the depth of transformation this book gave me. It allowed me to rededicate my commitment to upholding my faith in Jesus Christ beyond the persecution and the systems of the world. I loved that every character was well-developed and the story captured some realities, which made it very engaging to readers. The Bible references included were inspiring and made it more appealing. The writing is organized, well-paced, and easy to comprehend. It featured themes on courage, faith, perseverance, teamwork, and more. I found this story both inspiring and motivational, and I commend Stone for using this book as a medium to spread the gospel. I recommend This World Shaken by J.L. Stone to all Christians, particularly those doubting their faith due to persecution.

This World Shaken by J. L. Stone follows the Soloman family and their community as they cling to their faith in a world governed by the New World Order. Eventually, religious expression has been done away with, Bibles are prohibited, and citizens are forced to attend the government's One World Church. Yet, through it all, the Solomans strive to remain faithful to God and protect their neighbors despite the New World Order's threat to Christianity. The family bravely meets with other church members in secret, even at the risk of being killed or imprisoned. Ultimately, a new kind of technology is used to enforce complete control over the masses. While the world continues to descend into utter disarray, can the Soloman family withstand the darkness unfolding around them?

J. L. Stone's This World Shaken is a thrilling Christian novel that keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout. It is a thought-provoking story meant to encourage readers to reflect on what it means to stand firm in their faith. Through the terrifying experiences of the Solomans and their neighbors, the author creatively depicts how easily freedom can be eroded when control and deceptive leadership replace biblical truth. Nevertheless, the resilience of ordinary believers who choose faith over fear makes this novel a compelling and unforgettable read. Through the Soloman family's courage, themes of perseverance and unwavering faith are explored. Each major character arc—for example, the transformation of Jill, an unbeliever, into a believer—is used to show that God’s grace is still present, even in times of helplessness and oppression. Fascinating story, overall. You will undoubtedly enjoy this narrative if you are a fan of end-times novels.

This World Shaken by J.L. Stone follows the Soloman family as they navigate an authoritarian regime that seeks to control all religious practice and enforce a single global church. Initially, the family must secretly relocate their worship and protect their Bibles while continuing to educate their children in scripture. Alongside neighbors like Jill and initially skeptical officials like Sergeant Farmer, they organize clandestine gatherings to teach and practice their faith. As the government crackdown escalates, outlawing other religious texts, threatening digital tracking, and using robotic surveillance, the Solomans and their allies undertake increasingly daring actions, including rescuing other persecuted families from a One World Church detention camp. They coordinate covert operations, protect hidden Bibles, and prepare for further enforcement measures...which could catch up to them all.

This World Shaken by J.L. Stone does well in showing the courage and thoughtfulness of individuals acting under an oppressive regime. The construct is reminiscent of the real 16th-century persecution of Catholics during the English Reformation, where devotees were effectively driven into hiding. Stone shifts it to a futuristic timeline, complete with home-searching robots, while still blending in traditional landscapes, like hiding people in basements and barn lofts, while coordinating measures to keep them safe from the Global Secret Police. Stone focuses on small, deliberate acts, from planning supply management to conducting private Bible studies. This is, without any question, a Christian novel as the extensive scriptural discussions and lessons are consistent throughout. Overall, this tale is both inspiring and grounded in the reality of the characters’ circumstances.

This World Shaken is a dystopian tale of survival and faith by JL Stone. The New World Order has taken over the world. Alexander Louis Soloman, a man of faith with a loving wife and four children, struggles to navigate a rapidly changing world where tyrants dictate the law and innocent people suffer. Alex and his family find solace within the supportive community of their local church, acquiring strength and hope amidst the turmoil surrounding them. However, when one of their own, Arnold Patterson, gets himself and his family in trouble with the Global Secret Police, Alex and the rest of the congregation must find a way to rescue them. But doing so will put their own lives in grave danger. Is there any hope left for the faithful?

This World Shaken is a captivating story that illustrates the power of faith and hope in the face of adversity. Crafting a poignant narrative, author JL Stone masterfully portrays how totalitarian regimes seek to control every aspect of people's lives through fear, intimidation, and brutality, and how faith helps bring hope to the masses, providing them with the strength to resist and overcome the oppression of the enemy. It's a thematically rich narrative with an engaging plot and likable characters who charm their way into your heart. The Soloman family and their friends are the kind of people you feel you might have met in real life. It's easy to sympathize with their plight. The ending did take me by surprise, but I found it satisfying nonetheless. Although primarily written for Christian readers, I think non-Christians will also find this story rewarding.

This World Shaken by J. L. Stone is a fascinating novella that weaves Christian fiction and dystopia with political technothriller. The story unfolds in the USA, ruled by the Supreme Global Leader, who proclaims the One World Church as the only church and outlaws all other religions. The Global Secret Police enforces this order. Against this backdrop, we meet a small-town Christian community. Risking persecution for their beliefs, they worship God in a secret hideaway. When Jill Farmer, a friend of Lexie Soloman, asks to join the devout Soloman family for her first-ever Christian worship, the Soloman family and the Christian pastor are fearful as Jill’s father works for the Global Secret Police. But will God save his faithful Christians?

This World Shaken is breathtakingly fast-moving, awesomely suspenseful, hugely entertaining, and mindblowingly thought-provoking. The complex intrigue, ingenious plot twists, and dystopian high-tech environment made me gasp. On a deeper level, I liked how J. L. Stone wove the Bible verses with the events unfolding in the book, making faith the pervasive theme of the story. I also appreciated the highly topical socio-political landscape that exposed the standoff of religious confessions and political hypocrisy. I enjoyed relating the book’s dystopian events to the tensions in the real world. On the opposite end of the scale, I adored the strength of faith and marvelled at God’s response to prayers. I highly recommend this beautiful story to political thriller, dystopia, and Christian fiction fans.
