This is, without any question, a Christian novel as the extensive scriptural discussions and lessons are consistent throughout. This World Shaken is breathtakingly fast-moving, awesomely suspenseful, hugely entertaining, and mindblowingly thought-provoking. The complex intrigue, ingenious plot twists, and dystopian high-tech environment made me gasp. On a deeper level, I liked how J. L. Stone wove the Bible verses with the events unfolding in the book, making faith the pervasive theme of the story. I also appreciated the highly topical socio-political landscape that exposed the standoff of religious confessions and political hypocrisy. I enjoyed relating the book’s dystopian events to the tensions in the real world. On the opposite end of the scale, I adored the strength of faith and marvelled at God’s response to prayers. I highly recommend this beautiful story to political thriller, dystopia, and Christian fiction fans.
