Darius Ebrahimi created a romantic story in limbo with Till Myth Do Us Part (The Seed of Yggdrasil Book 1). Kai lives in Elysium and is renowned as a hero who guards against “Myths.” From his guard station, he looks across a barrier to Asphodel, where his beloved Sophia lives. Kai’s family lives in Elysium and he is married to Helene. Religious fanatics, Kai’s parents force the entire family to go to church where he fakes believing in whatever trend “The Council” has set before them. After church, Kai sneaks away to talk to Sophia through the fence. Unbeknown to Kai, a priest sees the interaction and they send Sophia to Irkalla, a place resembling hell. Kai plans to rescue Sophia with the help of his young twin siblings. Cara and Li take his place as guards, only to find Myths are more than they realized.

Darius Ebrahimi has penned dual stories with transitioning perspectives. Kai’s dedication to Sophia and his belief that he is her soulmate are admirable. I felt Helene’s snippy remarks provoked Kai’s animosity toward her. Nobody wants to be with someone who puts you down. Cara and Li were like night and day in their approach to guard duty. The story is unpredictable, which kept me glued to it to see if Kai could rescue Sophia. The personalities developed noticeably and it was easy to picture the settings of Elysium, Asphodel, and Kai's journey. The vivid imagery of the Myths and various gods enhances Till Myth Do Us Part. For fantasy lovers, this is a great story with character growth and questions about what makes a genuine hero.

An amazing book with a great plot. A different mythical love story with turns and twists. Throughout the book, I thought I was watching a captivating movie. It really would make a great blockbuster movie.
