Sally Murphy
Eleven year old Sally was on her own on the streets of New York. During a freezing storm an affluent attorney rescued her. She was placed on an Orphan Train believing she would have a better life. She rode the train all the way to General, Nebraska before she was adopted by Reverend Murphy and his wife. Sally was a survivor. After being rejected by her first love, she married Alex George. They had two wonderful sons and a prosperous business. When Alex was killed defending her honor and business, Sally became very depressed. Knowing she had to return to reality for the sake of her two children, she moved to Barnhill and began a new life.
