Turbulence by Barry Litherland is a story of hope. It’s time to move on again. Joe doesn’t know if or when he will see his wife and children again, but staying would mean putting them in danger. One act; doing what he thought was the right thing but Joe never considered the consequences, never considered how serious it could get. Maybe if he had, he would have taken a different fork in the road, and maybe things would have been better. He didn’t and now he is on the run, hunted down, and he has two choices to make – does he run until they catch him and kill him, or does he turn and take a stand, fight for his life, for the survival of himself and his family? What would you do?

Turbulence by Barry Litherland is set in a time somewhere in the not so distant future in England and is something different from your usual ‘kill or be killed’ story. The story grabbed me from the first page and held my attention all the way through. The plot was great, very well written and developed naturally. There were no bits that didn’t fit, everything was relevant and the characters were developed to the extent that I felt as if I knew them. This is gripping stuff, a book that you won’t put down until you’ve finished it. I won’t give anything away, but just be prepared to be surprised and thrilled all the way through. Will definitely be looking for more books by Mr. Litherland.

Joe Savage is a hero to the world, but as far as his family is concerned, his heroism left them in danger and forced Joe into running and hiding. Joe followed his conscience and did what he thought was right. When he became a witness and reported what he saw in court, his troubles began. His testimony helped to put a criminal behind bars. The brother of said criminal and his followers - politicians, policemen and thugs - are now determined to find Joe and kill him. Joe tries to hide and keep his family away from danger, but he is thwarted at every turn as he travels about in London, never staying more than a night or two in any one place. When violence and upheaval turn the streets into a battle zone, Joe realizes he must stop running and go home to protect his wife and daughters. The final battles had me sitting on the edge of my seat and holding my breath. There was a lot going on and I was not sure what the end result would be.

I found Turbulence to be a book of constant action, excitement, tension and thrills. Barry Litherland has written a book that is hard to put down and is filled with adventure from beginning to end. I read this book very quickly and found myself rooting for Joe to survive and beat the bad guys who, throughout the book, appear to be the winners. Turbulence is a must-read book.
