Twenty-Five Years Ago Today by Stacy Juba is a thrilling murder mystery stemming from a cold case that spans a quarter of a century. Kris Langley is haunted by her past. When she and her cousin, Nicole, were twelve years old, they had a tiff and Nicole walked off. Kris never saw her alive again. Tormented by guilt, Kris struggles with insomnia. Unable to sleep at night, she takes the night shift at a newspaper, writing obituaries. While searching for items for the newspaper column, titled 25 Years Ago Today, Kris discovers a twenty-five-year-old unsolved murder. She decides not to print it in the paper's weekly column because she doesn't want to cause the murder victim's family any more pain, but she can't let it go. Can Kris solve a twenty-five-year-old cold case murder? She doesn't know, but she has to try.

If you like sleuth books, then Twenty-Five Years Ago Today by Stacy Juba is an enthralling murder mystery that will keep your interest until the very last page. The plot has an interesting twist and it kept me guessing until the very end. I couldn't decide who the villain was. There were at least three people who I suspected and I was wrong! I was surprised at the denouement and yet I should have known all along who the culprit was. The clues were all there, but they were very subtle. This is the way a mystery should unfold. Stacy Juba did a spectacular job!
