"Are You in Love?" was the poem I liked the most in the collection. In this poem, Sabrina Simon paints a stunning, vivid picture of how most of our bodies unconsciously respond when we are in the presence of someone we genuinely admire and like. This poem made me remember some of the most beautiful moments I've personally experienced when in love. My favorite aspect of Violet was how Simon never ceased adding humor which always made me smile. Simon tells the reader to stop wondering if they are really in love, especially when they wonder what to say next in a text because that is the first sign that they are really in love. She even goes further to tell readers that if they detect this sign, they should check with a "local doctor" because they already have the Falling in Love disease. I laughed out loud in this instance. I found Violet a rare read, and feel honored to have met an excellent author whose work I look forward to reading in the future.

I enjoyed the author's passion in her writing, connected to the emotions in the poems. The style of writing and words use definitely made it relatable, we have all dealth with situations and the emotions from them. Writing is a big part of healing for me, I could see it is for the author as well. I was left wanting to ask more questions because the poems were honest and captivating.
