What is Love: A Bible Based Story written by Corine Hyman is a delightful children's educational, faith-based pictorial book that introduces children to the concept of love as well as the knowledge of Bible verses. Twin sisters Kar'Leigh and Kar'Moni have just finished a Bible lesson taught by their parent on the topic of love. The sisters invite readers to share their understanding of love pertaining to their Bible lesson as they compare it to their everyday life. Follow along and view a picture of their experiences and Bible verses on each page.
What is love? Is love just between a man and woman? A brother and a sister? Family member to family member? Friend to friend? No. There is a bigger love than that of the human-to-human relationships we all are familiar with. We teach our children to love one another and treat one another as we would want to be treated. But author Corine Hyman wants readers to go one step further and learn the greatest love relationship of all - between you and God.
Corine Hyman skillfully and creatively reaches out to readers with a beautifully illustrated pictorial explanation of God's love using the Bible verses 1 John 3:11, 16-18 and 1 Corinthians 13:1-8a & 13. The verses help readers better understand that without the love of God, riches in life, kind gestures, actions, and words are meaningless. This short children's book is a wonderful resource for parents, teachers, and individuals wanting to teach/learn the power, meaning, and importance of God's love.
