Author Biography

From a magical land of castles and kings (Okay, it’s England), Gina doesn’t feel as old as she looks, owns three children (aged 2, 5 and 7) who can’t be tamed, and writes in spare – usually stolen – time. She sometimes bakes—not always with quite the desired results, and has found the only solution to keeping the characters in her head quiet is to placate them with lots of other lovely books and worlds.

What You Wish For by Gina Wynn is a romance that blends contemporary ideas with magic and fantasy to create a second chance and a new start. Maggie is married to Jake, her childhood best friend, but she wishes for more in her life. That wish opens an alternate world where she meets Will, who is dissatisfied in his marriage to Maggie's alter ego. When Will and Maggie connect, sparks fly. Maggie is left questioning much about her world and her relationship with Jake. Is what she is feeling with Will real? Can she bring any of that emotion home with her to experience with Jake? Or does she have to choose between her long time best friend and husband and a man from an alternate world who means more to her than anything else?

This book has a really interesting premise that is unique and creative. It makes readers really stop and think about what is right and what is wrong. There is adultery in this book, which could be a turn off for some readers, but here it is woven into the story so organically it seems like the only logical choice. Readers will really root for the characters of Maggie, Jake, and Will because they are so expertly written. And also because their lives are so sad and lost that the reader wants them to find true happiness. This is the perfect example of a good romance and readers won't be disappointed.
