B.D Donaldson currently resides in Toronto, Canada. He graduated in 2011 with an MBA from Ryerson University. He is also a graduate of Colgate University in New York. His first book Where Do They Go? Part 1, was inspired by his family. What began as a silly joke turned into a fascinating tale of mystery and adventure. He will be following up his first book with the second part later this year.

Where Do They Go? (Part One) is a children's adventure mystery story written by B.D. Donaldson. Jaylen Williams has started noticing that his socks are disappearing while he sleeps. Mom is frustrated and suspicious. If Jaylen doesn't produce his missing socks soon, Mom will take away his video game privileges. He and his sister, Naleaha, are confused. What could cause his socks to disappear? Could it be that he just has a terrible memory and has mislaid them? Naleaha thinks that maybe it's the sock monster. Or could there be something more sinister going on? Jaylen and Naleaha decide to work together to discover who or what is stealing his socks. Soon, they are setting a complicated trap to uncover the culprit. As the mystery unfolds, Jaylen and Naleaha search for the missing socks and what they find in the middle of the night is something that is so amazing they can't believe their eyes!
Where Do They Go? (Part One) by B.D. Donaldson is a very cute illustrated children's mystery story. I can tell that the author has obviously had experience with the inner workings of a child's mind. The book is very intriguing and well-written. The illustrator did an amazing job with the pictures. The illustrations are colorful and stimulating. I like that the story has a surprising conclusion. For a small picture book, it is full of details and warm illustrations that will keep a young reader entertained to the last page. This book is perfect to read as a bedtime story for children aged 2-6.
