Regina Puckett’s Where Do You Hide a T-Rex? convinced me that I need to get a T-Rex for my family. A little boy wants a pet really badly. His mom keeps giving him numerous excuses why he cannot have one. He finally comes up with the perfect pet that meets his mother’s expectations.

Where Do You Hide a T-Rex is a really cute book. The story is written in rhyme and is easy and fun for young children to read by themselves. I read this story with my four-year-old and she had no problem at all reading the story by herself. She thought the book was funny and was laughing out loud at all the things the boy wanted to do with the T-Rex. She especially liked that the T-Rex attempted to sleep in the spare bed. I blame Puckett for my daughter asking for a new pet.

The illustrations in the book are unique and look as if they were hand painted. I thought the little boy did a great job at figuring out what type of pet would meet his mother’s specifications. Puckett has written several books, but Where Do You Hide a T-Rex? is the first one of hers that I have read. Overall, I thought that this really was a fun book. I think anyone who is allergic to animals can relate to this book. I recommend anyone who has allergies or young children to read this book at least once.
