There is not one person who was not impacted by the 9/11 tragedy that took place ten years ago. However, people were affected in various ways and degrees. Rob Quillen was traveling for business on September 10, 2001 and he met a pilot Jason Dahl and they struck up a conversation and spent time talking and getting to know each other. The next day the plane that Jason was piloting crashed in a field in PA as part of the terrorist attacks. Remembering his conversation with Jason, Rob decides to follow through on some of Rob's dreams and makes contact with Jason's family. Rob shares the story of his contact and relationship with the Dahl family in his inspiring and emotional book, "Why Wait?: Fulfilling Dreams from Tragedy."
This is a perfect book to read at this time as we have just recently passed the tenth anniversary of this horrific event in America's history. Truly an emotional time filled with grief, anger, hurting, hatred and questions, it is comforting to be able to read an account like this. This is a quick read and written in a way that is easy to read as each chapter is dated and labeled as to the setting. Although it is a quick read, it is filled with so much and so many emotions. The NASCAR sport is such an American pastime that it adds another little bit of patriotism. This is such an inspiring read that it is a must-read!
