Window In Time is a truly epic work of fiction in the action and adventure, time travel, science fiction, and fantasy sub-genres, and was penned by author David J. Boyle. This is an adventure of grand proportions, in which the canoe-enthused protagonists find themselves exploring unknown vistas and encountering such threats as aliens and dinosaurs. Faced with a world in which they have no idea how to survive, the group of friends desperately searches for a way to get back to their own time and place, and in doing so learn a great deal about their own strength, solidarity, and powers of endurance along the way. What results is an epic journey through a familiar yet terrifying reality and a deep psychological exploration of what it means to truly survive.

Author David J. Boyle has crafted a work that encompasses everything one could hope for in this time travel prehistoric genre. For a start, the dinosaurs which take center stage are beautifully described with an array of cinematic adjectives and lavishly-set habitats and scenes, which makes them leap off the page and enhances both the terror and fascination of the moment. Then, the time travel and otherworldly elements of the piece factor into the plot nicely, giving us hope that our protagonists will eventually get back to their own place and time but making it suitably complex and suspenseful throughout their journey of discovery. Finally, the work explores the character arcs very deeply to show us the bonds being tested between friendships, and the sheer mental and physical power it would take to survive at this time. Overall, Window In Time is a superb return on investment for sinking yourself into its epic world: an unforgettable journey into a wild and wonderful past.
