Tommy S. W. Wong has authored a fascinating book called Wisdom for Living in a Coronavirus Pandemic: How to Benefit from COVID-19. A man named Tom carries on a conversation with two gurus. The first Guru shows Tom how to profit—both monetarily and politically—from the crises caused by COVID-19. Fortunately, the second Guru is not so cynical and speaks about the need to respect nature and care for each other. The second Guru gives wise advice and helps the reader see the need to care for those around them and worldwide. Unfortunately, too many people follow the advice of the first Guru. They use the suffering of those around them as an opportunity to increase their wealth and power. This world needs more compassion. Let’s show humanity to all those who are in need.
COVID-19 is seen as a disaster by most people. However, Tommy S. W. Wong takes a different look in Wisdom for Living in a Coronavirus Pandemic. If one learns how to look for blessings, they can find blessings in anything—even the virus. Tommy shows that the results of the Coronavirus depend on how people look at the situation. For example, we can look at the virus as the enemy seeking to destroy as many human beings as possible. Or, we can look at the virus as an agent of nature leading us to change and learn how to live together in harmony. Tommy’s style is straightforward and conversational. He writes for all to understand. He encourages finding the good in life.
